About the Artist
Five years ago, I was looking for a change in my life and God showed up and showed out. He saved me and not a single day has gone by that I have not created some form of art. My inspiration comes through Jesus Christ, because it is through Him that all things are possible. I have never proclaimed to be an artist; however, the talent I have is a gift from Him that I feel compelled to share.
None of my sculptures are alike. They are unique, sometimes distorted, and even incomplete. I create my sculptures this way because they are an extension of the shattered world we live in.
For instance, when I see a tree I cannot help but notice it’s uniqueness and the beauty that has grown from its imperfections. A tree not only provides the oxygen we need to survive, it is also symbolic of the tree that was cut down and made to bare the biggest weight of this world - our sin.
I believe that through my artwork I am able to witness and share His word.
Romans 12:1-2: “Therefore, I urge you, Brothers and sisters, in view of God‘s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship. Do not form to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God‘s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
